| TerschellingBeachTitle: Terschelling, the Northsea beach Caption: Terschelling [prov. of Friesland] The sandy beach at the Northsea-side of the isle. (There's of course no beach at the Waddensea-side of all Dutch Wadden-isles: just mud-flats, with their typical smell of rotting). Photograph does show an ideal situation the photographer ran into. Normally, when I was visiting the beach with my four, whining kids -after a three-hour trainride- there was no place left to sit down comfortably along the whole Dutch coast, from the province of Zeeland up to the last of the Isles in the north, Schiermonnikoog. And that was more than 10 years ago! Photo by Sijbren Sijtsma, summer 2005.
