In search for my RABBELIER ancestors

As the webmaster of the CarPark I have a question:
my name is Willem RABBELJEE.
Up till now I did trace my ggg grandfather and his spouse, who lived and died in Nijmegen (NLD):

JOANNES RABELIE/RAPPELLIER/RABELJEE,bapt. 23-09-1750....died 1802
MARIA JOANNA VAN (S)ZACHTEN, born 1773
I did trace some further family-members, listed under the following names:
WILLEM RABBELIER
MARIA RABELIE
DOROTHEA RABELLIER
GERARDA CHRISTINA RABBELJEE
(with an accent aigu on the second 'e')
ARNOLDUS RABBELJE

Putative father and mother of Joannes are:
Christianus (Chretienne) Rabbeljer and Maria Hu(i)bers

There all related and found in the 18th century in the environments of Nijmegen (NLD). Many of them moved to the city of Groningen upnorth in theNetherlands, all bearing the name Rabbeljee (the Dutch phonetic rendering of Rabbelier). Another large group of the family moved to the Rotterdam area, all bearing the name Rabbelier.
A long considered assumption that the name could be pointing to Huguenotte ancestors is most probably unfounded: the name Rabbelier and the various (probable) variations found within this family could not be found in any Huguenotte register.

Please contact me if you think you might be able to help me in finding some more traces, cluess which could shed some more light on the mystery of this not so common name, the so many confusing variations. I would be very grateful!
